Steph and Ash’s Beeston Manor Wedding
How did you originally meet?
Ash an I met on a night out after being set up by friends
How did Ash propose?
I’m an avid baker and had gone on about a mixer for ages, pestering ash for me to get it, he came home with it one evening and the ring was in the box with the question stickered on the box.
Why did you choose Beeston Manor?
We chose Beeston as it really suited us. We loved the family run environment and that it was in the middle of nowhere was perfect. We love the rustic/country theme so Beeston was a perfect match.
What did you want your wedding to be like?
We wanted our wedding to run smoothly and natural. We hate being the eye of the attention but the day went so smooth and we loved being with family and friends.
What was your favourite part of the day?
My favourite part of the day was getting to Beeston and seeing it all set up (although I suppose I should really say marrying Ash at the church) they did such an a amazing job using our decorations. I think Ash’s favourite part was getting to Beeston to have a beer to settle the nerves for his speech!
Have you got any advice for future brides?
For anyone else thinking of tying the knot, just go for it, It’s such a magical day. Stay calm, it will all work out how you planned (although as the weeks get closer you’ll feel you’ve got lots to do and feel it will never be ready), You only do it once so enjoy every minute. My friend who has not long got married told me, when sitting down for the meal, take a minute look up and around and your guests, it’s such a lovely feeling knowing everyone is there for you and your husband or wife.
Tell us about your honeymoon
With having a little boy, we thought hard about what to do for our honeymoon. We really wanted him to spend it with us too. We spent the 2 days after our wedding at the manor hotel in Warwick and went to Warwick castle too. We have booked Lanzarote for a family holiday, but are planning to go Australia later in the year for our honeymoon.
What was important to you when choosing your photographers?
Choosing your photographer is one of the most important things to do for your wedding. They take the photos that you will cherish forever and look back on, you want the photos to be ones you love. You need to be comfortable and at ease with your photographer and be able to have the pictures you feel comfortable with.
We chose Eighth Avenue after a visit to Beeston Manor on their wedding open day. Ian and his wife where so easy to talk to and we felt at ease with them straight away. We went for our pre wedding shoot which they kindly took family shoots for us. We felt really comfortable with them and the photos were lovely.
On our wedding day Iain came to our house for bridal prep photos and made the morning so lovely, he kept popping between makeup and hair to get everyone in, he was never pushy for photos and just snapped naturals.
