Alicia and Andy’s Beeston Manor Wedding
Where/how did you originally meet?
We originally met online 6 years ago, I kept cancelling on Andy after our first date (which he never lets me forget!) and left it a whole year before we starting seeing each other again. The fact that he still wanted to see me after so much messing around made me realise he was a great guy!
How did Andy propose?
We went to the Lakes on Christmas Eve, I thought it was just a nice little break before Christmas, we went on a walk and Andy popped the question overlooking Rydal Water. It’s somewhere we plan on going back to a lot!
Why did you choose Beeston Manor?
Beeston had everything we could have wanted in a venue, the setting was beautiful, the ceremony room was breathtaking and we could have it all to ourselves. It really felt homely and the whole team at Beeston couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating with what we wanted. Our day was perfect and everything we could have wished for.
What did you want your wedding to be like?
We wanted our wedding to be fun, chilled out, reflect us and our life together.
What was your favourite part of the day?
It was the ceremony for both of us, our registrar was brilliant and made the whole thing easy. It was the beginning of our life as husband and wife.
Have you got any advice for future brides?
Try not to stress too much, think of a theme and just go with it. We planned the wedding in three months and it was easier because we couldn’t change our minds about anything. Don’t worry about the smaller details everything will come together on the day and you will have your perfect day no matter what happens. Just have fun!!
Tell us about your honeymoon….
We went away to the Dominican Republic for a week for a smaller honeymoon, just to chill out and relax! We plan on doing some travelling to New Zealand next year for a longer period of time.
What was important to you when choosing your photographers?
We wanted someone who knew the venue well and were recommended. Iain and Suz were fantastic through the whole process, they were so easy to deal with and their photos are beautiful. Even though Suz couldn’t make it on the day, Iain made up for it and nothing was compromised. Thanks again!!
