Laura and James’ Wedding – Kilhey Court, Standish
What a Disney dream this Wedding was. With subtle hints of Disney spread throughout the day it was a delight to photograph.
We joined Laura on the morning of her wedding at the beautiful Kilhey Court hotel, Standish where Laura and her bridesmaids had begun preparations on hair and make up for the day ahead. The champagne flowed, gifts handed out and even toenails painted (Both Laura and her son’s) throughout the morning.
As a red double decker bus arrived to collect James, the groom and his groomsmen the ladies awaited their cars to make their way to the church for the wedding ceremony. The church was stunning and created a beautiful backdrop for Laura and James’ vows as family and friends watched on.
Guests made their way onto the double decker bus to continue the journey on to Kilhey court, Standish as their bride and groom followed. Arriving at Kilhey Court the weather was in fine form so we gathered the guests outside for group shots followed by a walk around the venue with Laura and James for some bride and groom formals before the guests were introduced to the fabulous world of Disney that had adorned the wedding breakfast room.
Every table featured a different Disney film with characters featured from each film on the tables. Tinkerbell pixie water was available to hydrate as well as a unique spectacle of a Beauty and the beast cake on show.
Heartfelt and emotional speeches were given to the guests, a fantastic trio of singers for the evening reception, a photo mirror, chocolate fountain and candy floss machine and candy buffet all available to their guests following the wedding breakfast. This was all before Laura and James took to the floor for their choreographed first dance to a medley of classic Disney song which was a sheer delight to watch.
To finish of the evening guests were invited outside to enjoy a display of fireworks accompanied by Disney music and was the perfect way to tie of the day’s Disney celebrations.
