Rebecca and Joseph’s Wedding – Eaves Hall, Clitheroe

June 26, 2017 Blog

We fell a bit in love with Rebecca and Joe when we met them at their pre wedding in Cuerden Valley, Preston a few weeks before their wedding at Eaves Hall, Clitheroe. We knew their wedding was set to be a stunning, classic affair and were very much looking forward to heading back to Eaves Hall, Clitheroe for the days celebrations.

We started our morning at Rebecca’s parents house. The morning was in full flow as we arrived with breakfast served, champagne poured and the girls having their hair and make up done. All the girls already looked stunning in their matching pyjamas and dressing gowns and they were a wonderful support to Rebecca as she got ready. Receiving a gift of Joe that morning (the boy done good – as anticipated Rebecca was more taken with  her Mini Chedders than the Michael Kors bag they came in!) – all the girls teared up as Rebecca read the note he had sent with it. Once Rebecca was ready and the Hollywood-esque dress was on, her reveal to the bridesmaids and Dad was beautiful and once the tears had been wiped and lipstick refreshed we headed out to the church for the ceremony.

A beautiful village church was the setting for the day’s ceremony and everyone was in high spirits as they arrived for the day ahead. Rebecca’s entrance was simply stunning with her beaming smile which was a permanent fixture for the day and lit up any room she entered. The sun was shining as the guests and our bride and groom made their exit and a fantastic confetti run led our bride and groom to their car to make their way to Eaves Hall, Clitheroe to begin the celebrations.

Heading to the venue the heavens opened up with thunder greeting the guests as they parked the cars. Thick, heavy rain bounced off the floor as the guests ran in to grab their welcome drinks and await the arrival of Rebecca and Joe. As the rain continued the guests enjoyed the dry inside as we waited for the rain to stop so we could head out for the group shots. Luckily the sun came out beaming for long enough to grab our group shots and some stunning portraits of our bride and groom.

The speeches from this wedding are some of the best we’ve heard (hands down the most outrageous, ridiculous and greatest best Man’s speech we’ve ever heard) with stories being spilt about fraudulent Blue Peter badges being claimed, an Alan Partridge impression to begin the best mans speech and the first meeting of the bride and groom being an argument. Following these great speeches the celebrations continued with dancing and fireworks as the evening sun went down.

An absolutely stunning day with such a classic feel from start to finish. It was a pleasure to photograph Rebecca and Joe who were beaming smiles all day.
