Danielle and Dale’s Wedding – Bashall Barn, Clitheroe

April 24, 2017 Blog

“Are you going for a shower?” “I’m just having me croissant!”

An absolutely fantastic morning was had at the home of Danielle and Dale as we were welcomed in and soon amidst morning talks of biscuits, word of the day (Surreptious) and how to pronounce co-op. Danielle and her bridesmaids along with her mum, two beautiful daughters and gorgeous son were busy getting ready in their homemade salon which Danielle’s Auntie was in charge of hair and getting the girls underway with the preparations for the big day ahead. Daughter Evie was keeping everyone in check with her checklist for hair and make up to make sure everyone stayed on time whilst Danielle’s younger daughter Lily was ensuring the correct tv channel was on and that her snapchat pictures were up to date.

Mid way through the morning after discussions as to whether Dale had forgotten his bride’s wedding gift a knock at the door soon answered that question. In a ‘Love Actually’ style presentation on cue cards he had sent along his groomsmen to hand over Danielle’s gifts that she thought had been forgotten.

Beautiful detail touches throughout the day such as bullet cases for buttonholes, feather and paper flower bouquet along with the Lion King music to make their her church entrance made this wedding truly beautiful and unique. Added to this an absolutely amazing venue in Bashall Barn. This was our first visit to Bashall Barn and it did not disappoint, fantastic staff who had everything on point along with a cosy barn feel mixed with eclectic hip bar that made the reception amazing. With an open area for everything it allowed a great atmosphere for people to mingle and dance throughout the whole evening. Of course the main gem of Bashall barn is the cow shed next door complete with hundreds of cows all camera ready as we nipped in there after the speeches to grab a couple of shots with the bride and groom.

A live band made the evening’s entertainment lively and got people straight onto the dancefloor and with a great set of guests especially the groomsmen and bridesmaids the party was soon underway.

An absolutely amazing day with a couple that were just awesome from start to finish that it was such a pleasure to be part of their day.
