Katie and Melv’s Wedding – Singleton Lodge, Blackpool

October 17, 2016 Blog

We had a great time with Katie and Melv at their pre – wedding shoot in Lytham so were looking forward to their Wedding at St Annes Church, Singleton, a cute little church that we had shot at before that was hidden away in beautiful surroundings. We were then to head back to Singleton Lodge which is one of our favourite venues to visit (mainly because of the Alpaca’s).

We spent the morning with Katie and her bridesmaids at a gorgeous hotel close to the venue where the girls where having their hair and make up done by the fantastic ‘The Dollz‘. We popped into see Melv and the boys having a quick drink at the pub before we made our way over to the church to await the arrival of Katie in her VW camper van. A beautiful ceremony for this couple which felt intimate within this gorgeous church and went on to be our backdrop for the group photos as the rain had decided to make an appearance.  Once finished everyone headed over to a warm welcome at Singleton Lodge, Blackpool. A string quartert provided the background music for the reception and the wedding breakfast and was even joined by the guests singing along once they started playing Bohemian Rhapsody.

With the weather starting to clear up we headed out with Katie and Melv to capture their bride and groom portraits. The rain gave us just enough time to get the photos we wanted before starting up again but it was time for dancing and cake so it didn’t matter. A live band provided the evening entertainment and with mini glow sticks for the guests Singleton Lodge, Blackpool turned into the best club of the night.

A beautiful day with Katie and Melv.
